Dame Evelyn Glennie visits Portland

On Thursday August 14th 2008, I had the fantastic opportunity of being able to photograph Dame Evelyn Glennie the World-renowned percussionist while she was visiting my home on the 'Isle of Portland'. Dame Evelyn was experimenting with the sonic possibilities afforded by the 'Lithophone', a huge assembly of slabs of Portland Stone laid out on heavy wooden trestles, basically a huge stone xylophone. Wonderful !
